Other information

Basis of development of Institute of Aviation is international co-operation. Particularly important is joining the research and development programs of new products of world aerospace industries. Participation in international programs is important for introducing Polish economy into global industrial circulation. Realising this issue very well Institute of Aviation offers their specialities and diversifies its activity, i.e. specialises in areas which might be suitable for foreign partners. One of the most effective and mutually profitable forms of international co-operation seems to be creating branches of concerns, working as design offices, research teams or production centres of high technologies. Good example of such branch is Engineering Design Center, established commonly with General Electric and for two years providing sophisticated designs for U.S. partner. Strategic purpose of Institute of Aviation is establishing similar research and design teams working with R&D teams of FP6 and in the future with European Aerospace Enterprises Area.
